The Role
We’re looking for a Financial Modeling and Research Associate who thrives at the intersection of finance, data, and technology. This is a generalist role, but much of your time will be spent developing financial models across different land uses—including solar development, timber, and carbon capture.
You’ll tackle complex modeling challenges, chase down unique datasets, and translate insights into actionable inputs for our product and engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone with a finance foundation who’s eager to expand into AI, software, and climate tech.
What You’ll Do
Research and evaluate land use models across sectors through online research, seminars, and expert connections.
Build and refine Excel-based models for IRR, NPV, cash flows, and other key financial metrics.
Identify, source, and manage datasets that power modeling and decision frameworks.
Translate research and analysis into structured product requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to bridge the gap between financial stakeholders and technical implementation.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in project finance—backgrounds in infrastructure, natural capital, or real estate are a strong fit.
Proven experience working on deal teams that have executed transactions, whether on a corporate finance team, at a private equity/credit firm, or in investment banking.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with fluency in financial modeling and valuation.
Curiosity about AI, software development, or climate technology.
Early-career professionals or pre-MBA candidates looking to pivot from finance into technology are encouraged to apply.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience researching and working with large or public datasets.
Ability to source, clean, and manipulate raw data for modeling applications.
Established expert or academic network relevant to natural capital, renewable development, or finance.
Why Join Us

Generous PTO and leave policies.
Flexible schedules with hybrid in-office collaboration.
A culture of learning and growth in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
Dedicated commitment to invest in AI tooling and growth opportunities.
